While studying Visual Communication at Northern Illinois University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts in the mid 1990s,  I began my career in design and photography. My portfolio includes work for companies such as Caterpillar and Motorola and non-profits such as Openlands. I have kept busy for over 20 years designing and photographing annual reports, magazine covers, advertising, websites and more for an array of clients.

While commercial work is important to me, it is my curiosity of the world around me and the desire to capture those spaces and share them with my audience that keeps me going. I've been exhibiting photographs at galleries and art shows over the past 2 decade and have also taught extensively photography and design for workshops, schools and private lessons. I continues to sell prints, which can be found in private and corporate collections.
